WARNING: FRAUD ATTEMPT – FAKE PARKING TICKETS

Fake penalty charges for unpaid parking Dear customers,
Following recent incidents in Lovran, a fraud attempt involving fake parking tickets has now spread to Opatija. We warn all parking users in the City of Opatija area to be cautious and carefully check the notice on their car windscreen – if the "ticket" looks like the one in the picture, it is definitely fake.

Public parking spaces in the City of Opatija are managed by the company Opatija 21 d.o.o. For unpaid parking, a Daily Parking Ticket (Dnevna parkirna karta) is issued, which clearly features the name, address, and logo of both Opatija 21 d.o.o. and the Town of Opatija. It also includes details on how to file a complaint or objection, alongside the ticket office opening hours. In cases of illegal parking, fines are issued by the Town of Opatija Traffic Wardens.

The document that some citizens found on their vehicles states the name of a company called "Parking servis" j.d.o.o. from Rijeka, based in A. Barca Street. It contains a payment slip and a QR code for payment under the title "Daily access to the parking service for fifteen days (offer)", stating that the specified amount must be paid within three days.

We advise citizens to exercise extra caution and to verify whether a notice is genuinely a Daily Parking Ticket or a fraud attempt before making any payment. If you find such a notice on your car, we advise you to report it to the police or via email to .

In order not to confuse you in the final step, after changing the name of the application to "Bmove.com", from January 2022, the name of the merchant instead of "app.paydo.hr" will be displayed as "app.bmove.com" - therefore, it is not an error, but only a change of the application name, while all the functionalities have remained the same.
